It's hard to tell what a chicken is thinking by looking into her eyes. I often wonder if I should be afraid. After all, if I was just a bit smaller I'd be fair game for my flock of modern velociraptors. Betty doesn't look too scary in this photo but she was running up to me to bite my pant leg--something she does to get attention.

velociraptors? How long you been waiting to use that word? :-)
ReplyDeleteJoanna, Hee hee! I've been waiting ages and ages. Is the ice cream ready yet???
ReplyDeleteWell, I don't know about Lily, but I would like to do that to a few of my flock from time to time. ;)
ReplyDeleteI also meant to say that I think chicken eyes are beautiful and I love the way the lid closes from the bottom.
ReplyDeleteSusan, I know what you mean. Sometimes chickens need to be put in their place! But it wouldn't do any good. I think their eyes are pretty too. It's interesting how the lid opens from the bottom. I've wondered why they work that way. There must be a reason for it.
ReplyDeleteLOL, I was talkin' about my human flock! Guess I shoulda been more specific. hehehe
ReplyDeleteLOL!!! Oops! Yeah, be a little more specific next time. How funny!
ReplyDeleteThey're all so pretty- isn't it funny how they have such different personalities?
