Ha! I'd hate to be that cricket. :) That's awesome that you are letting those chicks run around the yard a bit. And Rocky seems like such a nice guy. :)Ron
Ron, yes it is awesome. So far they've completely worked over a leaf pile from last fall...spread it out nicely for me, and they are feasting on whatever insects they can find. It's Mayfly season, so they'll soon be eating all the Mayflies flying down from the lake. There'll be some happy chooks then!Rocky is a nice guy, but he's downright lousy about sharpening pencils! Tsk!
I haven't had time to keep up with things lately, but I finally have somke and laughed out loud at your pencil photo and caption! This photo of the last thing the cricket saw is really funny as well! My birds are getting more venturesome and learning to keep an eye on everything. They sure are a nice hobby for you!
Don, do the fancy breeds know how to forage well or do they just sorta follow the rest of the flock? I'm wondering how the ones with the tophats fare with seeing bugs and such. Thanks for stopping by. I'm glad I made you laugh out loud. We do need to find a better way to sharpen pencils!
Hahahaha! "bye, cricket!"
